Troopers Delivery Baby Girl Who Couldn't Wait To Be Born
TAMPA, FL — Florida Highway Patrol troopers "aren't always delivering tickets — sometimes they deliver babies."
That was the announcement on the FHP Twitter page when a pregnant Tampa mom wasn't able to make it to the hospital in time during Friday's rains. The family pulled over in downtown Tampa and called for help.
Troopers arrived and shielded the car with raincoats for privacy and to protect the young mother from the elements while they helped deliver the baby girl. The highway patrol then escorted the family to the hospital.
After working at demonstration marches in Tampa all week, the troopers said helping deliver the healthy baby was a reminder that, sometimes, all's right in the world.
