The Cops Won't Automatically Protect Meghan and Harry Anymore
There have been a few details left to sort out for Meghan and Harry over their decision to leave their job as Senior Members of the Royal family. They've figured out when they're leaving, how they're moving forward, and now the last bit of security and who is going to pay for it has been solved. Here are all the details. The couple has made it clear that they have plans to move to Canada. They've been in Vancouver since before Christmas and have been settling into a new place here. While they've been in Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has been assisting the UK Metropolitan Police with on-the-ground security for Meghan and Harry "intermittently" since they moved in part-time in November 2019. Since Prince Harry and Megan have moved out of their office at Buckingham Palace and the question over who will pay for their security once they're officially no longer working members has been sorted. It won't be the Canadian government.
